Message-ID: <34846@nigel.ee.udel.edu> Date: 29 Oct 90 13:36:15 GMT Sender: mmdf@ee.udel.edu Lines: 22 As I said in an earlier post, EA (which originally made a big deal about supporting the Amiga--and they did give us the IFF standard) has been giving us the short shrift lately. STARFLIGHT was a disaster--still a great game, but a TERRIBLE port (Micro Magic should be sweeping floors or doing Mac ports or something--NEVER should they be doing Amiga ports EVER AGAIN!). The only good stuff from EA lately has been all imported from Blighty (IMPERIUM (the only problem with this one is that I (blush) can't figure out what the %$%^$ to do after the first turn...), POPULOUS (and the upcoming POWER MONGER (can't wait!), etc.)...they haven't put out anything of their own lately that's been nearly as good as, say ARCTICFOX, which is 4 years old... Although I had dropped my estimation of MicroProse after the miserable port of GUNSHIP and the straight C64-port of KENNEDY APPROACH, after PIRATES!, all is forgiven, as long as they keep enhancing their ports. I'm QUITE eager to see what RAILROAD TYCOON looks like on a REAL computer... --Rick Wrigley fhwri@conncoll.bitnet PS--Before you flame me because this is posted on the wrong area, please note that I have *NO* control over where stuff I post gets put.
