There are two types of printers you can hookup, the serial and My DeskJet (original) came with BOTH CEntronincs (parallel) and RS232 (serial) ports as standard equipment. I believe the subsequent DeskJet models are also confiigured this way. I use the standard CBM DeskJet driver, although I hear there are second party drivers that are very nice. DISCLAIMER: I don't work for the part of HP which makes printers of any kind. I just ues HP printers are home and at work. I like them.
