Everything started out fine, I purchased an original 2000HD, (with 2090a disk controller), about 1.5 years ago, and all was well except I wanted more memory. About six months later I purchased an 8-UP dip with 0k board and stuffed it with 4meg of 80ns 1meg x 1 dips. All was fine for about 3 months until one day Ami just froze with out a GURU, when I did the 3 finger reboot all that happened was the screen went dark red. After reseating the board all seemed fine, then a few days later the same happened, the same cure the frequency of occurance increased to a point where it would not even finish a bootup. Out of frustration I removed a bank of memory and all was fine for awhile the history repeated itself. The most frustrating part is that while the system was running and I was able to run the memory test software it claimed all was fine. I have been operating for about 2 months now without the memory board installed and not even a glitch. The lock-ups have all been random no repeatable sequences can cause an occurance. Whats going on, is it a power supply problem, a board problem or just the moon out of phase? Please respond Mitch
