Lines: 28 Anyone had any experience with rlogin failing with the error msg: bind: Permission denied rcmd: socket: Permission denied It seems to go away if you wait a while (10 - 15 minutes is usually enough). Our setup is: n x Apollo DN35x0, SR10.2, ATR network (mixture of +/- disk) 1 x Apollo DN3500, SR10.2, ATR network + ethernet card as 2nd network (this node acting as a gateway between the ATR and the Enet) 5 x Sony 1750, BSD4.3, Ethernet n/w 1 x UNISYS 6000 workstation, System V.3, Ethernet n/w The rlogin is *known* to: fail when trying to rlogin from an Apollo to the UNISYS, and succeed when trying to rlogin from a Sony to the UNISYS at the same time. We *think* we've seen it fail similarly when trying to rlogin from one Apollo to another - not sure though. Any assistance/tips/thoughts gratefully accepted ... -- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Matt Atterbury [matt@bacchus.esa.oz] Expert Solutions Australia, Melbourne UUCP: ...!uunet!munnari!matt@bacchus.esa.oz "klaatu barada nikto" ARPA: matt%bacchus.esa.oz.AU@uunet.UU.NET "life? don't talk to me about life!"
