It contains 256K of Hitachi HM50256P-15 chips. The big question I have is this - According to the installation guide (box was unopened) it says to use only memory chips with an "A" by pin 1. I'm guessing that Apple qualified these chips. But could I use Hitachi HM50256 or any equivalent chips? I'm thinking yes, but I've found out more information by posting here than asking apple types locally. Also - someone was selling 64K's cheap.
