The only time it worked at ALL was when I tried a copy 0.7b on the GS at school, the opening came up and after that promptly died. The GS at school has ROM 03. I have ROM 01 and the same version would not work. Until just today I was using GS/OS 5.0 and found out that Soundsmith needs 5.0.2 so I ran out and got me one. Unfortunately it didn't help. Has anyone else had trouble with Soundsmith? If so, any solutions or suggestions? Normally I would just give up with problems like this but I converted several of Soundsmith's instrument files over to Music Studio 2.0 and got 'em to work, they sounded very impressive, if the rest of the package works like that I want to try it! Has anyone used *Sound* Studio? This program is really handy for examining sounds and playing with them, however its usefulness ends there - it does not save a sound you have manipulated as ASIF rendering it useless on Soundsmith or Music Studio. Why is this? Was it that much more effort to save the sounds witn a standardized file structure? I was also disapointed that you could not manipulate the wave itself. I've seen such programs on the Mac, why not on a superior machine like the GS? - Joe Nowakowski - NOWAKO09@SNYBUFVA ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Remember to carry a trashbag in your car, when its full you can just toss it out the window. - Steve Martin. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------
