I would agree with you if Darek was paying for this space. Unlike a trade journal, where one pays to advertise, this medium is paid for by its users. As such, I don't think it is ethical for a business to blow their own horn and make promotional advertisements. I don't think I'll see this differently in 10 years. It isn't WHAT he is doing that is bothersome, it is the fact that others are footing the bill to pay his advertising costs.
