Anything written for a ROM version A, for example, will run fine on ROM version E. Going the other direction (from E to A) will give you predictable, documented, if not desirable results. The "documented" results are in the bug report published on c.s.h from time to time. C.s.h has documented several cases of defective file transfer causing programs to crash. Is there any way you can check your programs (in the 48) against an "original"? That might help pinpoint the problem. Good luck.
