Subject: Help!! My ATI VGAWonder just got screwed up!!

    I think I'm up the creek.  About an hour ago I used VSETUP and set up my
ATI VGAWonder 512 to ega mode to run an ega program that consistanly froze my
computer in vga mode.  Only this time when I ran it it froze but now I could
do a Ctrl-Alt-Del whereas before I had to hit reset.  So, when it rebooted I
go the message:
  The video card has been tampered, warranty void.
below the video rom bios version.  I had gotten this once or twice before
after changing video modes and I had just changed the startup mode back to
Vga Color and Multisync monitor and it had gone away.  But, of course!,
this time not only did the message stay when I reset the startup mode but now
I can't get any SuperVga displays!  Does anybody know if ATI might have built
a calender inside their board or something so that if my warranty has
expired today it knows it?  This thing is very frustrating and I think that
before long I'll end up ripping the thing out and jumping on it.
