This isn't meant to cast any stones at Gateway 2000 or anybody else, but I read recently (I forget where) that mail order companies were _required_ to notify you if an order were to be delayed from the promised date by some number of days or weeks (something like 'greater than 3 weeks' or something). I believe this was some federal postal regulation or something. Of course, that doesn't mean that sleazy companies would comply...
