My current system is a run of the mill 12Mhz 286 system. Hopefully the upgrade process won't be more complicated than a motherboard swap. I'd like to see a four fold performance increase in CPU bound tasks, but I also need to keep my current pheripheral cards. So, these are probably the requirements: * cached, 33Mhz 386, * a slow, original AT bus (switchable speed?) * capacity for 8MB or more RAM onboard Personal experiences, hints, recommendations are all greatly appreciated.
