I have been trying to compile ghostscript with turboc++ ver 1.0.  The
documentation claims that it should work.  I get numerous errors when
trying to compile.  Has anyone else experienced this, or successfully
compiled ghostscript?

I tried to send this posting to gnu.ghostscript.bug, but it bounced back.
