St.John's Nfld, Canada Lines: 17 Two questions about my T1000 SE: 1.) Although the little dear is billed as having 1 meg of RAM, in fact 640K is ROM occupied by DOS 3.3. Because I use my laptop just as a notebook when away from my big box, I could do without a lot of the DOS files like CHKDISC and DISCOPY etc. Is there anyway around the defences on these files and a way to convert the saved space into true RAM? 2.) Twice when saving large files (50 K or so working in WP 4.2) I have gotten the message that the file was too big to save in hard RAM. No problem, save to disc. But curiously, the readout at the top of the WP directory menu says that there's 80 or 90 K available, plenty of room it would seem. Why won't it fit? Thanks, Chris Finlayson, Dept.
