Since I have done that, double clicking on the database file or its data file give the message "application busy or missing" as if it doesn't recognize that it's a 4D file (I removed the old version from my hard disk). Has anyone else had the same problem? Anyone got a fix? I checked to make sure the old and new versions have the same creator, etc., and they do. I don't know what else to try. Thanks in advance, Michael Quattlebaum dragon@hubcap.clemson.edu AppleLink: ST0673
