Message-ID: <1990Oct30.054816.2587@supernet.haus.com> Date: 30 Oct 90 05:48:16 GMT Organization: Harris Adacom Corporation Lines: 28 I am trying to install a Kinetics Fastpath gateway into a previously existing ethernet. Here is a simple diagram of what the inet look like. Mac SE | --+------ Ether --------------+------------------ + -------- | | | Fastpath | | Mac II=------=LaserWriter=----- LocalTalk --------+ Or in text, both the Mac SE and Mac II are on ethernet. The Laserwriter and the Mac II are on LocalTalk, as well. The Fastpath gateway is connected to ethernet and localtalk. How can I access the Laserwriter from the Mac SE (or any other machine only on the ethernet)? Currently, the Mac II only sees the Laserwriter when the LocalTalk zone is choosen. The Mac SE doesn't see the laserwriter at all. I thought this was something the Fastpath could do. Was I mistaken? -- Clay Luther, Postmaster cluther@supernet.haus.com Harris Adacom Corporation postmaster@supernet.haus.com Voice: 214/386-2356 MS 23, PO Box 809022, Dallas, Tx 75380-9022 Fax: 214/386-2159 Your mileage may vary.
