Message-ID: <70318215MES@MSU> Date: 2 Nov 90 00:42:41 GMT Organization: Michigan State University Lines: 12 I think I tracked down the problem... I got fed up with the thing acting up.. Pulled off the case cover, and noticed a familiar aroma... -> the smell of shorting out wires! I removed the hard disk, looked for telltale blckess on warious parts, couldn't find anything, and as I replaced the scsi cable onto the motherboard, the scsi connection going into the hard disk fell almost all the way out! YIPES! Anyway, turns out a while back, someone swapped drives, then swapped them back for some reason, and must have failed to properly secure the scsi cable! WHEW! still works ok now! Thought we'd have to send it to enginering for a while there! mark Sartor
