I solved the problem. It appeared that one of the Suitcase II advanced options caused the crashes. Changing the maximum number of open files in the bootblocks of your system to the maximum (in Suitcase) of 99 caused crashes and changing it back to 42 solved the problem. Note that removing Suitcase II from the system folder (disabling it) won't solve the problem, because the origin of the crashes was still available in the bootblocks.
