  I recently bought a IIci and I found that many of the disks I initialized
in my Mac+ (or other people initialized on their +'s) bombed my new machine.
I don't know if it's because I have a new computer, a new (super)drive, or
new system, but I found that rebuilding the desktop on the disk (holding
down COMMAND + OPTION when inserting disk) eliminated this problem.  Hope
this is useful to someone. (Please don't tell me it's a virus - Disinfectant
didn't find anything).
