Man, if I could have a monitor that was 14+ feet by 8+ feet, I wouldn't need a bedroom anymore. Hell, I might not even need a house... Hmmmm. I wonder how much memory it'd take? Well, lessee here... Well, a 9" screen has 512x342=175104 pixels; and making a rough estimate, we'll say there's a linear relationship between pixel area and screen area (there's usually not)...then the 199" monitor from hell will have ~85608562 pixels (wow!). Continuing: 24bits/pixel[color]+8bits/pixel[alphabyte] = 32 bits/pixel Mem = 85608562*4/1024 = ~335Mb just for video! Assuming you could still get 1M simms from The Chip Merchant for $39, the cost would be $13065 for the memory alone--not to mention the second mortgage you've already taken out on your house to buy the MONITOR! Just my 0.0001530807501% (of the memory cost) worth. C.
