Snapjot (from Wildflower Software, 21W171 Coronet R., Lombard, IL 60148  
(708) 916-9360 ) works very well for me.  It is commercial, but it's also 
fairly cheap and they've been good at supporting and upgrading it.  Their 
new version handles multiple file formats, among other enhancements.

I recommend it.
