Message-ID: <29056@boulder.Colorado.EDU> Date: 1 Nov 90 17:31:02 GMT Sender: news@boulder.Colorado.EDU Reply-To: schabtac@spot.Colorado.EDU (SCHABTACH ADAM) Distribution: usa Organization: University of Colorado, Boulder Lines: 28 Nntp-Posting-Host: spot.colorado.edu I just got System 6.0.7. and have installed it on my IIci (so far no crashes, BTW). I'm curious about something I found in the "6.0.7 Developer DRAFT" notice, under the section "Installer Script": "Palatino 10, 12, 18, 24 get installed when doing an install from System Software on 1.44mb media. This now means that the target install from an 1.44mb installer will NOT be the same as the "same" install from an 800k System Disk install." And indeed, there is no Palatino font to be found on the 800K disks. Now, I like the way Palatino looks (I have an old file with 10 and 12 point sizes) and the large sizes would allow me to print it nicely on my ImageWriter II. Could some kind person mail me a copy of the full Palatino family? Or direct me to an FTP site where I can find it? And, to anyone at Apple, WHY exactly does this difference exist? If I'm installing my software on an 80MB drive, I can certainly afford the space to accomodate the font. What possible difference should the kind of media I'm installing from make? Thanks in advance! --Adam schabtac@spot.colorado.edu "...if it was so, it might be, and if it were so, it would be; but as it isn't, it ain't. That's logic." -Lewis Carroll
