According to my manuals I am supposed to be able to issue a shutdown -p#min and have the system automagically restart after a shutdown and some period of time. What happens now is that after a shutdown I am automagically transported via my automobile to physically turn the machine off (wait) and then back on to effect a shutdown reboot. Any one having any luck with this command on SysV.3 (1.01.00)? Second, I am supposed to have a command called /etc/sdloglock to keep additional people from logging in and allowing me to do a shutdown (or reboot). Did a find / (etc) with no luck on any variant of this command. Anyone got it and willing to share??? Thanks in advance. BTW, my machine is performing 300+ dialup logins per day and handling it very well thank you. The only problem is the dreaded getty (or shell) that won't die, so a daily reboot is called for. Otherwise, super job! Lou Anschuetz temngt23@ysub.ysu.edu or aa001@yfn.ysu.edu
