(long view again) If I am a member of more than one group, I don't want to have all my files change group ownership just because my default group ID is changed. I believe that the terminology surrounding groups is inadequate, which may explain your confusion. I don't think UserManager's behavior is unreasonable, though. Jeremy Brest
