We (Stanford) have a site license which confused me. CAP is the Columbia Appletalk Package, for communicating with Appletalk entities over an Ethernet/Appletalk bridge of the Kinetics FastPath type. I've set up everything you need to install CAP on an Iris with Irix >=3.3 for anonymous ftp from cb-iris.stanford.edu. This includes the complete CAP distributions, patch files, and reasonably detailed installation notes. Everything is in the /pub directory. I still haven't gotten the file server working, but I have both 'lp' and 'lpr'-based print spooling working, at the same time even. -David Hinds dhinds@cb-iris.stanford.edu
