    I have a problem with the /dev/plp (the parallel port)el

I try sending something to that port but the prionte goes
into a time out and does not print anything. The printer
I am using is a Phaser PX (nice color postscript). If I
do the same procedure with an Epson printer, I get nicely
the postscript program printed.

  Did anybody had a similar problem (time out) with a printer
connected to the parallel port of a PI. I welcome any suggestion
or solution. (is there any mode change on the parallel port?)
