I suspect that's entirely irrelevant, but what the heck... A while after it was off warranty the user mentioned the screen looked odd, so I changed the default fonts to make the characters readable, and I finally measured the variations in the clocktool aspect ratio. The clock appears to be round when it's 13mm from the left window edge. On the extreme left it's 16 mm, and on the right it's 15mm. Somewhere around the centre it expands to 22mm.
