Message-ID: <1990Nov2.165231.7127@tandem.com> Date: 2 Nov 90 16:52:31 GMT Sender: news@tandem.com Distribution: usa Organization: Tandem Computers Lines: 19 Hi, I got a demo version of Quark XPress 3.0. It's pretty nice. Almost entirely fully functional. Its limitations are that it prints "Quark XPress Demo" across the page, allows only a small number of pages per document, and only works on a PostScript printer. (There's something else too, but I've forgotten.) The last limitation is the one that bothers me. I ordered the demo (3 disks and short guide for $9) in hopes of seeing how the program works with my DeskWriter and ATM. Well, the demo won't work at all (by design) with my printer. So, before I plunk down a bunch of money, does anybody have experience with XPress and the DeskWriter? If it matters, I also have a IIci. BTW, the demo can be order fro Quark by calling 800-356-9363, their product information number. Eric Goodill, goodill_eric@tandem.com "Sucks Syntax" -- John Haskey
