I don't know if this is a FAQ, but I havent seen the answer in TuGBoat,
TeXHax, or here.  Also, no-one at U of W will answer my mail.

The previous version of UniTeX was distributed in topically selected TAR
files that were split into  reasonably sized chunks; for example, TeX,
Metafont, etc...

Is this true with the new stuff, and if so can someone tell me where I
can FTP it from in this form?
