I added this to the directory where the HDB uucp source was, and I edited the Makefile and cntrl.c as per the instructions. I then attempted to 'make uucico'. I had to make two more changes to fio.c to get it to compile with gcc. I had to define sccsid (which I'm sure won't affect anything) and after defining USG, I had to comment out the inclusion of termio.h (to prevent multiple definitions). It then compiled. However, when I moved the uucico to /usr/lib/uucp and did a Uutry, the uucico died after printing two lines of debug text. Many hours of hacking and fiddling have produced no other results. Has anybody got the f protocol to work under 386/ix? Has anybody got any hints? This fio.c is pretty old, and was only tested by the author for BSD. Is there a more appropriate version available?
