Lines: 35 I just finished downloading the XView toolkit from expo, so now I'm ready to build it. (I think :-) After reading all these horror stories about installing it, though, I'm a bit leery.. Which brings me to my question. There seem to be a lot of "little fixes", "well, that should have been documented somewhere"'s, and other "build hints" that have floated across the group lately, and I'm wondering.. Did anybody keep a record of them? ... and more importantly, can anybody post an "all-inclusive" [well, you know what I mean] guide to installing the XView toolkit? A few tidbits about my particular environs.. 1. XView source tree will be sitting in ~aschaffe/XView [I am NOT root, BTW] 2. X11R4 source tree sits in ~some_other_user/X11R4 [who is also not root] X11R4 has been compiled (using cc) & is working properly. 3. My workstation is a Sun 3/60, running SunOS 4.0.3 4. I can use either gcc or cc. 5. I remember a lot of hullabaloo about fonts. What was this all about? BTW, mine (the ones that came with X) are in /usr/lib/X11/fonts. Any suggestions? Helpful hints? ...Please post them, as I'm sure others will be interested as well.
