I appreciate your resonse. My chiro. did insist on a CAT scan. He also took numerous x-rays. I've recently had a relapse of pain, first time in months. Probably due to muscle spasms. As I understand it, the spinal nerves can become confused and keep certain muscles contracted more than they should be, leading to pain. I guess this is why MD's prescribe Parafon Forte to relax the muscles. I got some ultrasound and muscle-stim treatment and am gradually feeling better. The keyword to remember about chiro.'s is "Cox". There are different schools for chiros, and apparently the "cox" guys really know their stuff. A lot of poeple don't know it but a chiro has to have a bachelor's degree, then 4 years of chiropractic school, so these guys do pack some educational wallop.......I've been trying to convince my anatomy teacher of this. I don't believe chiros are -always- the answer. A person with a spinal injury should check with his/her MD first, then see a chiro and decide on a course of action, but the SOONER THE BETTER. I hope you get better soon Ruthie. I can sure feel what your going through. Good luck on the 5th!
