Hi willie,
 
I saw your message about wanting to know about checking packages and 
thought I would let you know about the program that I have been using 
for the past 3 years.
 
Quicken is a complete home finance package and it works quite well 
with speech.  The new version 4.0 even alows you to use the check free 
service.  I don't have any vested interest but to say that it works 
very well for me and a number of my blind friends.
