The phone is all-in-one, no base, and when closed is off-hook. It is a family friend and is just right for the space it occupies. The plastic hinge on the clamshell broke today. Is there a number at GTE that I can call for a repair part, or a replacement phone, or does some fine soul out there have one that they want to sell? Thanks. Please reply by email, I will post if the responses seem to be of interest. :-) Leonard P.
