PAT] If I have understood it right, there was a repeater problem at the stateside end of TAT-8. The Internet connections to Europe were indeed routed to sateillite links. I haven't read about any service return to TAT-8 connection. Because there hasn't been any great fuss about the failure, maybe just one fibre repeater has broken and only data traffic has been in it?
