All the above are nice, *but* far beyond the scope of what I infer ISC is thinking of doing - I think they're just looking at doing a new low-level protocol, at the same level as the "g", "e", "t", "f", etc. protocols. You're asking for a new UUCP, not a new UUCP protocol; I don't have any problem with that, just bear in mind that it sounds like it's outside the cope of what ISC wants to do....
