My situation is similar to Scott's. I have been watching this news group for answers to his questions, and so far I've seen no responses (or maybe I just dozed off for a bit). So, to re-iterate: Is it possible to get some kind of source (minus the completely hardware specific parts) to a Mach kernel for use in creating an operating system on a new hardware platform???? Just the bare bones - no proprietary/licenseable/costly/screwed-up system call interface, no monstrous pile of UNIX utilities, programs, and network software, NUTHIN' but the Plain Jane Vanilla Mach kernel (if such exists in any form). Many Thanks in Advance, -- Scott Sternloff (stern@pyro.ei.dupont.com)
