This is because it is definitely a typo in the docs. I looked in the script "/etc/setup_usr", and it clearly wants the new /usr mounted under /user. So the line should read: /etc/mount /dev/hd1 /user Other comments: If you want MacMINIX to have more then 1 meg of Ram under the Multi-Finder, don't forget to change that in the "Get Info" dialog box.
