I bought the printer cheap at an auction. The printer has 0.5 MB memory, that can be expanded to 2 MB by adding a memory expansion board. I fear that the price of an official upgrade (if still avbailable) would be higher than the price I payed for th printer. I am looking for a cheaper way to expand the memory. Would it e.g be possible to replace the chips on the board? If not I wonder if the compute engine in the printer might be a common type used by many manufacturers in their printers or that it has been developed by Citizen and is used in their printers only. If this is a common board it may be easier to find a cheap memory expansion board. Can anybody give me a clue about the whatabouts of this printer?
