Message-ID: <1990Nov9.011820.27597@cbnewsd.att.com> Date: 9 Nov 90 01:18:20 GMT Organization: AT&T Bell Laboratories Lines: 20 I would like to connect 4 386-PCs each having a SCSI controller with each SCSI controller connected to a SCSI disk drive. I would also like to connect the SCSI controllers together on a SCSI bus. In other words I would like to set up a Multiple Target/Multiple Initiator SCSI bus. I would like to use the AT&T UNIX System V 386 and Adaptec SCSI controllers. Has anyone tried anything like this? I believe it is supported by SCSI specs, but I don't know if there are any practical problems with this? On this system, all PC's have read permissions on all drives and write permission on their own private drive. I would like to hear from anyone who might have had some experience on this. If you know of any other OS/controller combinations that might support this, please let me know. Please reply via email to: Reza Zarafshar, AT&T Bell Labs, (708)979-8855, att!iexist!reza
