Message-ID: <71121602MR@MSU> Date: 7 Nov 90 22:08:24 GMT Organization: Michigan State University Lines: 9 I have a freezing Mac mystery problem of a differnt sort.... We have a building wide atalk net with one zone hanging off the backbone, we also have just instal led a fastpath4 on the backbone. This morning almost all the macs (those on th e backbone and those across the bridge) started to boot up, but then froze and wouldn't finish booting. I could boot from a floppy (bare system, no inits). After trying various things I discovered if I replaced the appleshare files in the system folder the mac would boot okay. Any ideas about what might be going on ? /mark rosenberg - michigan state univ.
