It is a (by no means comprehensive) list of free and commericial tools for managing TCP/IP internets and the devices that they interconnect. RFC 1147 is also FYI 2; the purpose of the FYI series of documents is to provide general or practical information on the Internet. As you might surmise from the number, the FYI document series is rather new. RFC 1147 was published in April of this year. The IETF is currently working on developing son-of-1147. Anyone who would like to have his/her tool listed in the next edition of the catalog, or anyone who would like to have an existing catalog entry updated, should contact me, or drop a note to noctools@merit.edu.
