I've been reading a bit about SLIP, and have a few questions. What are the
real advantages of SLIP, over serial connections. I have a 9600bps dialin
connection, via broadband cable, to the host I'm mailing this from. What do
I gain by going to SLIP, which would make it worthwhile to broach the
subject with the powers that be here. Please email your comments (as I
cannot easily read USENET), and I'll summarize for the net.
