Colin,

My calendrics agree with Thompson's on the dating of events in the
daily life of the classic Maya in his much abridged textbook on the
subject. Thompson used Gregorian dating post 1 January 1 AD and
Julian before that.. I promise to be a good boy and find the real
poop; but, if Thompson gaffed, there will be a lot of redfaced
historians. Maybe the historians and the astromomers need to talk.
