Kamin, Adison-Wesley, 1990, ISBN 0-201-06824-9 Covers LISP, APL, Scheme, SASL, CLU, Smalltalk, Prolog by presenting a simple interpreter for each language and discussing the implementation. Complete sources in the book and also available via ftp. Computer Architecture: A Quantitative Approach, 2nd printing David Patterson and John Hennesey, Morgan Kaufmann, 1990 Outstanding. The standard text.
