I'm a first year graduate at the University of York, England, who is just starting work on a Ph.D. I'm looking to correspond with anybody out there who might be working in the area described below. I'm basically interested in Architectural Design Methods/Notations for software systems, hopefully incorporating the specification of so called `Non-Functional Requirements'. This may involve the concept of separate logical and physical architectures. For these purposes, an Architecture is taken to broadly represent the information that defines the structure of the system, its functionality, etc, in such a way that the system can be built. I'm also hoping to look at how to model timing, performance, resource usage, concurrency and state (amongst other things !) within the context described above. If you're doing anything along these lines, I'd like to hear about it and hopefully exchange a few ideas !
