Most of that software is the original software that comes with the system too. There are VERY few packages that have come from third party support. The Amiga had no software because Commodore didn't release any with it. Amiga also has a proprietory OS. UNIX is a trying to be a standard now. There are more programs to be ported to the NeXT because of it's UNIX than people porting UNIX programs to AmigaDOS also. NeXT will have a software base eventually (if it can survive long enough to). Just what market is Jobs trying to hit with his NeXT anyway? I still haven't figured that one out. Until Jobs knows,I don't think anyone will even know enough about the system to make a difference. You ask a computer illiterate what an IBM is and they'll know. Ask them about a Mac, they should know. Ask about an Amiga and they MIGHT know. Ask about a NeXT and they'll say, "Huh? What's that?" You think Amiga has bad marketing, the NeXT is even worse.
