Message-ID: <1990Nov7.014607.41966@cc.usu.edu> Date: 7 Nov 90 07:46:07 GMT Organization: Utah State University Lines: 30 I am in need of a word processor for my Amiga. Looking through past AmigaWorlds hasn't helped much in my search. ( wonder why? ) Any input you could offer would be very appreciated. Here is basically the features I am looking for: WYSIWYG - (What you see is what you get) Very important. I am tired of surprises. (Ala, Word Perfect) Picture handling ability (IFF) Spell Checker Thesaurus Indexing, footnotes, etc. I am looking for a word processor with the power of Word Perfect, except one that doesn't _force_ you to learn every nuance to make something come out right. I have used word perfect on the Amiga already, as you can tell, I don't like it. ;-) The program needs to be Amigaized, intuitive, and not cludgy. The current others that have caught my eye are: PenPal, Excellence!, and ProWrite. Are any of these any good? If so, which ones and why? My system consists of an Amiga 1000 w/2.5 megs and a Epson LQ-510. Please include reasons why you like a program. I will post a summary to the net. Many thanks... John M.
