Message-ID: <1990Nov4.050432.1125@opusc.csd.scarolina.edu> Date: 4 Nov 90 05:04:32 GMT Organization: Math Department, University of South Carolina (ahem; The USC) Lines: 17 I have peen playing with setting up Empire 2.2w (gotten off the abfcd archive) on my system, for a few friends to play. Everything seems to work fine, except that, when I start up SEREmp, with DEVICE=modem0.device, it freezes my machine. After a warm reboot, my harddisk is validated (?), and then everything is okay, but it makes me nervous... If I tell it to start up on the serial.device, everything is dandy. Is this a known conflict, and is there anything to be done about it?
