Message-ID: <0BDACC36271F60AE18@ISUVAX.BITNET> Date: 5 Nov 90 18:50:00 GMT Sender: daemon@ucbvax.BERKELEY.EDU Lines: 21 I own a TrumpCard 500 hard disk, and would like to use it on an Amiga 1000. The problem is, I am confused about exactly how it should be plugged into the A1000. Some people have said that the 86-pin edge connector on the A500 is flipped both top-to-bottom and left-to-right from the connector on the A1000, while others have said that it is only flipped left-to-right. Could someone clear up, once and for all, exactly how the connectors on the A500 and A1000 differ? I do not really want to plug this hard drive in wrong, and end up frying my A1000, TC500, or both. I would like to know exactly how I should plug the TC500 into the A1000 (backwards and upside-down, or just backwards) without blowing either the A1000 or TC500. BTW, I realize that some of the voltages on the A500 differ from those found on the A1000, but this should not be a problem because I am using an external power supply for the HD and these voltages are not used. -MB-
