I found what happened was I had blind reads set. I looked into the manuals and they suggested that I unset this if I have done anything to my CPU speed. While my 68020 is not running any faster, it does have an internal Instruction cache, so I tried unsetting blind reads. I have not had a problem since (almost 1 year now) with my amiga. The system is Amiga 1000, Midget Racer w 68020/68881, Microbotics Starboard 2, Alegra 2 Meg board. brian moffet
